What if all?, 2021

Davin Youngs returns with his second EP 'What if all?' recorded using only the sounds of his voice. Heavily inspired by themes of nondualism and Buddhist meditation practice, each track is based on Davin's unique experiences in meditation.

The title track, 'What if all?' specifically asks what it would mean to transcend the concept of "I" and uncover the possibility of unconditional love. Davin explores new sonic territory, using his voice to move the listener from intimate, internal questioning to expansive awe and wonder. Referenced is the mystery of an organ in a large cathedral, or the echo of a sacred choir in the distance, Davin's voice occupies a wide landscape and caresses the possibility of transcending and including.

Metta is the Pali word for Loving Kindness. Metta is a practice of using traditional phrases to first wish one's self well, a benefactor, someone who is neutral, someone who is difficult and then all living beings.
